How Can You Help Restore the American Dream?

Friend,

What’s killing the American Dream for us, our families, and America as a whole?

I’ll tell you. And then I’ll tell you how you can help restore the American Dream.

In the early 1970s, the primary driver of American capitalism shifted from the post-World War II ethic of “we’re in this together” to the Friedman ethic of "maximize profit." That’s the heart of it!

The results 50 years on? Broken trust, shattered faith, and gutted motivation that has stripped the American Dream down to a mirage increasingly impossible for our newest generations to attain. We can fix this tragedy. We must fix this tragedy.

Our 501(c)(3) is on a mission to restore the American Dream. How? By fixing American capitalism. There isn’t a better economic system than capitalism, but American capitalism can and must be improved. Now.

The cleanest and clearest path to fixing capitalism and restoring the American Dream is to replace the ethic of "maximize profit" with the better ethic of “optimize profit.” Based on the practical research and business examples at the heart of the book Better Capitalism by Knowlton & Hedges and weekly insights shared on the Better Capitalism website, "optimize profit" is framed by the behavioral economic principles of “enough” and “mutuality.”

So, how can you help restore the American Dream?

Only with your generous financial support can we bring the better ethic of "optimize profit" to our primary audiences of business professors and students, business leaders, and content creators. By helping us reach and inspire these audiences with this better ethic, we can impact their learning, opinions, beliefs, and policies. Together, we can help restore the American Dream.

If we don’t restore the American Dream now, our newest generations will increasingly ask, “Since capitalism isn’t working for us, why not socialism?” and increasingly shift away from capitalism. Or more dangerously, not familiar with fading history and the damage done to other countries, they may increasingly ask, “Why not communism?”

Instead, through your financial support we can help restore the American Dream for each other, our families, and America as a whole.

I invite and encourage you to join us in this critical effort. Here’s the link to a video with a personal message, and here’s the link you can use to send your support.

If you or your organization would like to talk further about your financial support or other mutually beneficial partnerships, I invite you to reach out directly to me. Thanks!

Best regards,

Paul
